The Lego Ninjago Movie

The Lego Ninjago Movie

Happy new year everyone! We hope all of you had a great holiday season.

This week marked my littles return to school after 3 weeks of winter break. We were able to regroup as a family and take time to focus on our health and wellness.

If your family was anything like mine, we were hit with the flu bug. My husband, the pediatric doctor, was "patient 0". He started off with the flu and it systematically went through the 6 of us!

Having a large family ill for weeks was no bueno. As a mom I had to keep it together enough to care for them at the same time I was trying not to get sick. I called on my training as a RN and good hand washing to get me through.

I also looked to my friends over at Warner Bros. to help me entertain the littles.

We watched The Lego Ninjago Movie which was out on DVD & Blu-Ray on December 19th.

The movie was smart and funny so the littles, my older 2 children and I could watch it as a family. If you haven't see the movie, it's about a battle for Ninjago City. There's plenty of action as young Llyod, the Green Ninja (Dave Franco), along with his friends who all happen to be secret warriors and LEGO Master Builders led by the wise kung fu master (Jackie Chan) who was one of the funniest characters because of his wise-cracking jokes.

Together they have to defeat the evil warlord, Garmadon, also known as The Worst Guy Ever and just happens to be Lloyd's dad.

Humor and fun ninja scenes culminate with a showdown that pits dad against son. I won't give it away but know that one of the lessons my kids learned was how teamwork makes the dream work!

Everyone in mi familia found the movie enjoyable at and we all thought that it was super cute and funny.

It was just what the doctor ordered.

The littles loved the movie so much we played it on our way to school.Luke was super early one morning (ya me!!) that I was able to hop in the back seat and watch some of the movie with him as we waited for the school gate to open.
