Looking for Winter Break Fun: We've Got You Covered!

NEED ACTIVITIES FOR WINTER BREAK? WE GOT YA COVERED! Nothing drives me more crazy than having a houseful of kids who complain they are bored during the winter break. I also tell them there's a room they can pick up or reading they can do and then I get the eyerolls. So after all the cleaning is done we still have a couple of weeks off and I know it's important for children to get a break from all the work they do at school, the tutoring sessions, the lessons and the extracurricular sports they do. After a tiring routine,...

Thankfully, there are brands that are stepping up and providing more products that expose children to multicultural and/or multiracial products. Lakeshore Learning, Queens of Africa dolls, Mixis Dolls, Lammily, Mattel, Mixed Up Clothing, Mixed...

Samosas in the Summertime

Posted by Sonia Kang on

We are so fortunate here in Los Angeles to be in a culturally diverse city. We are surrounded by beautiful people from different countries. We have opportunities to try a variety of ethnic restaurants and listen to music from across the world. The best part about it? No passport required! Got some free time? Listen to International music from Uganda or the Ukraine at Walt Disney Music Hall. Want to try some new foods? In one day you can travel to Little Ethiopia and sample gomen and kik alicha or head northeast to Thai town and try some tom yum soup or...
