Test Drive: Mazda CX-9 by Sonia Kang | June 01 2018, 0 Comments

Thanks to DriveShop, I got a chance to test drive a Mazda CX-9 for one wonderful week.

I loved so many things about it. With a family of 6, this 7-seater had ample space in all three rows so we were very comfortable.

It was a perfect time to have this vehicle as we look for a new car for our teenage son. He is ready to get into a new car right away but we will take a slower pace to make sure we make the best decision with and for him. Sure, comfort and design are important, but safety is my utmost concern.

The Mazda CX-9 has all that covered with SKYACTIV® TECHNOLOGY.

When you drive, there is a full-color active driving display that really gives you all the information you need to help keep your family safe while driving,

The folks at Mazda utilize an active approach to safety with  i-ACTIVSENSE® which uses milliwave radars and cameras to keep you in tune with your surroundings.
It was nice to know I could keep focused on the road which provided extra confidence knowing these available systems are constantly working to alert you to potential hazards, avert collisions, or reduce their severity when one is unavoidable.
Front and rear parking sensors
High Beam Control
Lane Departure Warning
Traffic Sign Recognition System
Lane-keep Assist
Mazda Radar Cruise Control with Stop & Go
Smart Brake Support
They call it an example of our Jinba Ittai which is a philosophy of creating oneness between car and driver.

The beauty of this vehicle and all the safety features made the Mazda a hit with our large family. That is important to me but so was their spirit of giving.
Now in it's fourth year, Mazda Drive for Good® gives their drivers the chance to be a part of the Mazda Drive for Good® which is their annual charitable program that allows them to give back by helping those in need.
Over the past few years, they've been able to give back over hundreds of thousands hours of service.
Mazda believes your sense of well-being elevates when you’re driving for good. and I believe that, too.
They have donated over $15,000,000 since the inception of the Drive for Good® program and they are excited to give back even more in the future.
Some of Mazda charities are:
AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION, ST. JUDE CHILDRENS RESEARCH HOSPITAL,

RADY CHILDREN'S, HOSPITAL FOUNDATION, AUTISM SPEAKS and BIG BROTHERS BIG SISTERS OF VENTURA COUNTY to name a few.

The week with Mazda was a week worth having.

Take a test-drive and check it out for yourself.
